4th of July 2017

We spent the holiday in Carlsbad, NM where Uncle Kaelan Aunt Kaysha and Shane live. There is a very small lake outside of town called Lake Brantely . We camped there the first night and enjoyed a yummy cherry cobbler for dinner, a must camping.

Uncle Koriel Aunt Katelyn and Quincy met us camping and the next morning we got on the lake first thing. Kaelan and Kaysha meet us there in the afternoon.

We swam, played in the sand, Britton, Koriel, Kaelan, and I skiied. (Yes you read that correctly I got up on skis finally!!! after trying to figure out the new boat for the last year I finally got up twice and stayed up! I was so pumped it was a great day!) Katelyn and Kaysha were the champion Aunts on the tubes going with all the kids. Conway was hard to get off the tubes even with the uncles when they were whipping around the lake. :)

The next morning on July 4th we went to Carlsbad Caverns which was awesome! It amazes me that they have millions of visitors for 100 + years now and it still feels and looks so cool down in there. the kids though it was cool both in temperature and experience. and did the 2 mile hike with as little whinnying as they could.

For the fireworks we put the boat on the Pecos River in Carlsbad and watched the firework show from the boat! It was so awesome. Britton even skiid on the Pecos until the sun went down. Wyatt made it through the 1st 10minutes for the show then layed down and put himself to sleep. Elle was asleep by the end of the show. It was everything I imagined and more. It was a great holiday all around, being with family and playing on the boat.
Playing in the Pecos. We did manage to bang up the new prop on the boat pretty bad which is a bummer. But that is the life of boat owners always spending more money on boat parts.
When we got home , everyone needed a good scrub from traveling and I squeezed all three into the tub.

More Summer fun

We made a quick trip to the Tucson Temple open house. Loved seeing Great Grandma and Grandpa Christensen and going through the temple as a family. I could have hung out in the celestial room with them all day. So grateful for those sealing ordinances that make us a family forever.

It is a beautiful temple and so homey feeling. Cant wait to go back in the fall.
We have so loved having our summer together, lots of messes at home and long lunches at the pool.
Wyatt swims out of the 2 ft and under the rope wherever he wants, who ever invented the winged floaties was a genius. Wyatt loves his independence and it is still helping him learn how to kick and paddle.
Special prince and knight story at the library was super fun this month too.

Happiest place on Earth, AKA Lake Powell

We invited ourselves to the Nymeyers week at the lake. And got to spend a couple days with Sterling, and Brentyn and their wives before they had to go back to work. Meet baby Navey, who was so sweet.  Then it was just Cooper, his roommate John, Lacey and Chandler, Aunt Stacey, and my parents for the  rest of the week. It was a great week and loved being together for a perfect week of fun.
On our way to the Lake we went to Ramah for Stathan's baptism which was so awesome, so glad we could be there, and see him on his special day 8 on the 8th. After the baptism we ran into some car trouble in  Gallup but it was a simple fix 4 hours later just need to clean the fuel injectors and we were back on our way.

One thing we did this year that I have never done was take an afternoon to go back into town to see the horseshoe bend. It was BEAUTIFUL. but very nerve racking, no railing and steep deadly drop, we took some quick pictures and headed back to the cars before anything scary could happen.

The houseboat, speed boat, and jet ski all ran great, we had a great spot, got lots of swimming and  exploring in.

Had a pirate day, found buried treasure and everything. The loot was great, ring pops and gold coins even the heart of Tefite

One of the best things we found was a natural splash pad, there was a circle of islands you could walk or swim around. This is where Elle got her courage to be in the water since she could see the bottom and swim when she wanted. Wyatt has complete trust in his life jacket and can actually get around pretty well. It was hard to keep him out of the water. Conway learned to love the tubes this year and would even ride fast with the big boys. All the kids got a little fishing in and loved sleeping on top of the house boat. We watched Moana at least once a day and still love that movie

Sure loved being with the John's for the week. We love them all to pieces.

Conway finishes 1st Grade and turns 7 years old

The last month of school he got his first wiggly tooth, the last kid in his grade to do so. He was so so so excited he had given up hope for this day to ever come.Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, child, closeup and indoor About a week later Conway asked his Grandma to help him pull it out ( she had told him that she was really good at pulling out teeth, so he trusted her above Mom or Dad. ) He was happy the tooth fairy had left a dollar but sad she took his tooth, so the next night he wrote her a letter asking for the tooth back.

The second to last day of school a fire ruck comes to school and creates a splash zone for the elementary kids. We crashed the party and Elle jumped right in with the big kids, Wyatt was happy to stay dry and watch with Mom. This is our favorite activity, so grateful for the teachers and firefighters who make it happen.

The day after school was over was Conway's birthday. 7 years old! Where did time go? Thinking about all the growing and changes in the next 7 years scares me, I feel like I blinked and he turned 7. I don't want to blink again and him be 14!

We had Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Cooper over for pizza and presents. Got some great new clothes, books, airplanes to be able to play with Wyatt's set and a 20in bike! It did not take him long to get used to the big wheels and he was off, he even loves to go on little bike rides around the block by himself.

Wyatt turns 2! and we went to Durango CO

My Baby is 2!

We got to be in Durango for a Lambson Family reunion and the Ironhorse bike Race for Britton over the memorial weekend. The whole Lamsbon clan were there.  We rented a great 5 bedroom house with an awesome game room for the weekend for us all to be together. We celebrated Wyatt's birthday on Saturday after the race.

Britton and Koriel did great on their rid Britton had  a flat tire at the beginning of the race but was still able to ride at the pace he had wanted and finished ahead of his predictions.

The house we rented was right off the race path. So we made awesome posters and we were able to cheer for all the racers. Luckily Britton's flat was before this spot and he was able to pump his tire to the max he likes, since his hand pump can't always pump it that far.

The house we rented was perfect, there was plenty of room inside and out for us all to play and be together. Made lots of good memories, playing games and eating cheese.

Giant bathtub at the house was fun for cousin scrubbing. The soaker bath tub was to tempting to pass up for group cousin baths, every kid needs a picture like this.

We got to have lots of fun cousin time at the house, playground, and children's science museum. Britton and Koriel broke the museum record for the tallest tower made of paper cups beating the 12' 4" recod by 8". :)
For Wyatt's birthday we had hot-dogs and macaroni and cheese, opened presents and had a pinata. everyone got in one hit before it was to busted to survive.

Before we left for Durango we had a dinner with Uncle Cooper, Grandma and Grandpa at home.

He got a lawn mower, a set of planes and battle carrier which have been a big hit with everyone in the house. As you can tell sister is not ready for Wyatt to have more independence. She is still his little mother "helping" him all the time.

Our little 2 year old is 36" and 34 pounds. Average for height and above average for weight. He is our favorite little Hulk smash and we are so grateful to have him in our family forever.
