Halloween and the LIST.

Happy Halloween (last week!). I can not believe another week has past. Conway was a 2 year old giraffe, last year he went as a 1 year old giraffe. We are thinking next year he might even try being a 3 year old giraffe. Has anyone ever been the same thing every year of their lives? He could be the first! Elle was pumpkin, it was so cute at the ward trunk or treat to have all the little kids come up to her and tell her that they were a pumpkin when they were a baby too. So sweet. Conway racked in on the treats and has been slowly working his way through the sugar.
We have been missing Britton this week as he was gone for 7 days on "The Epic Hunting Extravaganza" Seriously, I am going to be buying plane tickets soon for a girl trip get away. I hate hunting season. The good news is he is coming home tonight. And we have nothing but fun filled activities from here until January!
Here is THE LIST:
1. State Soccer Tournament! Go Toppers!
2. Elle's blessing. She is going to look so cute in her little dress made by Mimi. And we are so grateful for all the family that is making the special trip, it is going to be great to see everyone. (post lots of pictures to share with everyone)

Strong, Adjusting, Flabbergasted

Elle is so strong. She was discharged from oxygen with her Dr. appointment earlier this week. We are so grateful for the many blessings in her life so far. She is a strong, and brave little warrior.
Look at how cute her little nose is. I am one happy Mama not to have to worry about those tubes and tape
"Yea! I hated those tubes and especially that tape!"
Meme and Grandpa made a special trip to see us on Tuesday. It was great to spend the day with them and we were really glad they came. Grandpa took all of these great pictures for us.
Conway is adjusting, that is the best way to describe him. Sometimes he wants to be all about Elle and sometimes he rather we just shut the door and leave her in her crib for awhile. He loves when anyone comes to visit that wants to spend time with him. He does not share well, visitors with Elle or Elle with visitors. His sister and visitors do not need to get to know each  other. Or so he thinks
Britton and I are flabbergasted how quickly we fell head over-heels for this little girl. We are also falbbergasted  how quickly playing man to man defense wears you out, we miss being able to double team. I am sure as we all get used to our new schedules we will find new tricks. Thanks to all the great examples of awesome parents in our lives, we hope to figure it out.
Love that little nose.
The Lambsons: Flabbergasted, yet adjusting and going strong.

Elle's Fast Story

Ellese Lambson,
10/11/2012
8:30 pm
8lbs 5 oz 20 1/2 inches

Art work done by Cooper.
The Story: I felt like Elle was taking forever to get here since I got it in my head she was supposed to come early. The Dr. always had her on the charts with an Oct. 11 due date. So Oct. 11 I had my last Dr. appointment scheduled for that morning. Dr. Combs agreed my body was done and schedule to start inducing me Friday morning at 6 am. I was so excited to finally know when it was going to be over. *note for the the reader I was induced with Conway and loved my epidural. So Thursday afternoon I made a to do list and got ready to take Conway to Grandma and Grandpa's. Britton got home at 5 we made dinner then I got Conway in the bath at 6. I started to feel some contractions. They were strong but not unmanageable. By 7 we got Conway to my parents and  Nano braided my hair. The contractions started coming every 2 min. and I had to remember to breathe through them. We called the hospital and I was starting to cry as contractions were now hurting and I wanted an epidural. 8:15pm we got to the hospital got  a wheel chair ride up the elevator and the nurse asked me to change 8:25 . I never made it out of the bathroom. The pain took over and all I could do was scream. Britton pulled the nurse call cord, the nurse ran in, look at us and said, "baby is here. don't push let me put on a glove" I just screamed at her. It was FAST! Is an understatement. Elle born in the bathroom inthe labor and delivery room 8:30 ish. Due to the precipitates birth Elle struggled with breathing and they put here on oxygen, keeping her in the nursery for more help.

Conway invited her to his house threw the glass, and was such a good boy to come visit her lots while she was in the nursery.
Her oxygen levels just never got better. So to be on the safe side the RN decided to send her to Albuquerque Presbyterian NICU. Elle is adventurous she got to take her first airplane ride at 2 days old.

At the NICU they took great care of all of us. Seriously amazing people work there. All of her X-rays and tests came back with only good news. The lower elevation in Albuquerque helped her so her body did not have to work as hard. We were very grateful for all of the help and support that made it so easy for Britton and I both to be there with our baby girl and not stress about all the other details. Love you Mom, Dad, Danielle, Cooper, Nana, and the endless prayers and fasts from all of our other family and friends. Hope you can feel our love and prayers in return.

After 3 days of good results they sent us home with our own oxygen tank to make it easy for Elle to breath back at home. We will be working with her Dr. here to ween her off as she grows stronger and bigger.

My three greatest loves. So happy to be together as a family forever and ever. Thanks again for all of your prayers and love. We are up for skyping any time, (jenbritt @ skype) all family and friends that want to see Elle in "person".

Make a prediction

We are ready for Elle. and by we, I mean ME. ;)

When do you think Elle will get here? She won't be bigger then Conway right? The doctor has me on the charts as an Oct. 11 due date with the baby weighing some where around 7lbs now. Lots of Braxton hick contractions but nothing consistent. And she is dropping lower and lower everyday.

Conway was a week early and weighed 8.5 lbs.

Waiting

Just waiting.
Clothes are washed, folded and in the dresser.
Swing is set up.
Carseat clean and ready.
Diapers bought and on changing table.
Anything else I need to do?
Technically we have a little over a week to still wait. But any day would be nice for me, i am feeling done.

Conway has really picked up his vocabulary this month, he is really fun to talk to. It surprises us how good his memory is and what he likes to talk about. He was playing with a toy his Uncle Westley got him this summer, which broke after some rough housing between the two shortly after purchase. He brought me the little monster toy  yesterday telling me, "Westley...broke... monster." Two months later still ta-tel telling. He says anything that makes you laugh is a joke. When I was laughing at him during dinner when he couldn't pick what he wanted to drink, "milk, juice, mmm no milk"  I asked him if he was playing a joke on me? So now anytime I laugh he says "joke, Mom, joke" It is pretty cute.

He had a fun time last week with Homecoming parade and making the Soccer float with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Cooper. Of course the highlight was all the candy he raked in, cheering "Go toppers!"
