Thanksgiving in Texas

We got to drive the whole state of Texas, or at least most of it and visit some really fun people.
The first half of the week we were in Arlington with Uncle Kaelan and Aunt Kaysha. We got to meet their awesome dog Abby, and see all of the great nursery stuff for baby Shane comign soon.
They took us to Lego Land which was a big hit with all the boys and a new resturaunt that I am in love with. Let's just say Torchy Taco's is a must every time I come to Texas now.

Then we got to go to Lufkin and meet our new cousin/neice Brooklyn! She is a doll and we loved holding and snuggling with her. While taking these pictures I mention how chubby Brooklyn's cute cheeks were, Elle wanted to measure how chubby hers are. It was great to wrestle and play with Uncle Westley and see Aunt Stasia as well.
Grandpa and Grandma Christensen were there too and Grandpa taught Elle and Conway all the finer points of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Conway is now tramatized for life, of people with big noses. :)
Britton was in Heaven playing Ultimate Frisbee twice! The ward had a frisbee turkey bowl! then he got to play with them again on Saturday. he was missing the sport and was so happy for the opportunity to play. Thanks West for making his dreams come true. :)
Then Britton went on a few bike rides
and we all went to lots of parks!
The Lufkin Zoo is a must for all visitors we loved every bit of it.
They also have a cute mini train, boths kids were entranced.Uncle Westley and Aunt Stasia taught Conway how to play battle ship
Grandma made a great thanksgiving meal. We were all so grateful to be together and enjoy such a special season.

Don't worry we got plenty of shopping in and both boys got new boots, "when in Texas", and we left plenty more to do when we go back to visit soon.

Love,

baby announcement #3

The word is spreading fast, But yes we are expecting an addition to our family next year. I am due the end of May. It has been really fun to share the exciting news with Conway and Elle. Now Conway is 4 he has lots of great ideas about babies. Elle too is excited for a cute baby and says she wants a sister.

Conway's word of wisdom about babies:

C "Are we having a boy or girl?" (1st question after we told him we were going to have a baby)

The next week to Grandma, " We are arguing about it, we can't decide if we want a boy or girl" kills me. :)

He has it all planned out where baby will sleep and what toys he will give him.

The last week he tells me "Mom i think we should have two babies, so Elle can have a sister and I can have a brother." (how kind of you Conway!) "Mom can't carry two babies Conway we are just going to have one." "But I could carry my brother Mom."

C. "Do we have a name for the baby?" "Yes if it is a girl her name will be Piper, if the baby is a boy we don't know yet" C." I was thinking we could name him Rad-Cool. You already used Conway so you can not use that again."

Other names he likes are, Rex, Rockie, and Rusty. name the baby after some of his favorite pets...

We are so grateful we have Conway to help with all of these big decisions. We don't know what we would do with out him. Seriously love the kid! :)

Chalk Paint

It is so fun! It can be so addicting because there is no hard labor prep work of stripping or sanding the old furniture. And using the wax allows for some cool finishes.
An old dresser we picked up on the side of the road. Using it for my craft closet or baby's room... Started out as an old yellow dresser. Painted it into a rustic cream and brown.
Granny and Nana's old china hutch. Needed makeover, sage green with a brown antique finish.

before:

Britton is not onboard yet with my new addiction. I think he is not excited about my new lens to look at all the old broken down furniture I see. It all now can become a work of art with a little chalk paint.

Halloween

Town Pumpkin Patch Carnival. My favorite little pumpkins.

P
Pumpkin Carving. It was so fun! Both kids had ideas for what they wanted on their pumkins. Britton googled some pictures and found and awesome Captain America. Elle wanted Mickey with a witch hat. And the middle ones is a witch hat and spider. We got to carve while we watched Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin. The kids loved it all, Conway still does not like to help clean out the pumpkins, but Elle dug right in this year.

Trying to get a cute picture with their pumpkins
 Cheese

 Conway Look.
 Elle Look
Mom we are done sitting here, it is as good as it is going to get

Conway wanted to show you his halloween socks, they matched the movie. :)
Getting ready for trick or treating

 Costume pictures
 Happy Halloween
Britton and Conway designed and created the Ninja costume. He LOVED it!
The kumno was a HUGE hit Aunt Nano and Uncle Anton, She got so many compliments about how pretty and authentic it was. We had to tell everyone, that it really did come from Japan. :) Thanks a bunch!
 Ward trunk or treat

Trick or Treat!
Conway and Elle were so fun trick or treating, They would run from house to house, it was amazing how fast they could move to get to each door. We tricked or treated for almost and hour! Then we got home and enjoyed some of our spoils, they both woke up with tummy aches this morning. So I think we will have to reign in the sugar today. :)
We hope you all had a fun Halloween. Lots of love from your Los Alamos Lambsons.

Elle is 2!

Our little girl turned 2!
Like Conway's second birthday we were going to be on the Lake for Elle's birthday day so we opened presents at Grandma's before so we wouldn't have to take them all to the lake and back.

Conway was a good assistant present opener

New accessories from Grandma and Grandpa
Marker and coloring set. Britton is very nervous about his gift because of episodes like this
We are going to have surprives coloring until we get a little older. :)

(a funny part at the end when Conway offers to lick all the frosting off the figurines for her)

Then we had the birthday cake at the lake and more presents! Thank you Great G&G C, Nymeyers and Johns. It was so fun to be with you!

Powell3

We got our Lake Powell fix for 2014.
Conway and Elle loved feeding the ducks off the back of the house boat. It did not take the ducks long to figure out where the snack house was and they would come 3 times a day bringing more friends with them every time.
And you will be happy to know that the jetski ran awesome and Britton will probably never part with it. Just got to start shopping for a second to play with for next year.
We loved playing with Juniper and Maggie! They are the sweetest girls, and Conway was a great big brother to them all.
Then on Elle's birthday we ran a triathlon with Chandler, Lacey, and my Dad. It was a good race, everyone was happy with the experience, more or less. :) I am mostly happy I don't have to feel guilty about not training for awhile. I like triathlons and it is a good way to change up your exercising, but I am ready for a break. I am promising myself not to let my bike, shoes, and goggles get dusty.
Britton got 2nd place for his age group! He killed it,
More on Elle's birthday tomorrow.
