Phase 4 framing

Concrete laid and lumber delivered spent a Saturday  June5th framing the first floor. Didn't have a working nail gun yet so they framed it all by hand. Dad Westley and Britton with supervisor Wyatt passing out the nails. It worked out since the concrete connections had to be a special galvanized nail, but went and bought a new nail gun the next week.

Three walls done in one day it was super exciting to make it all seem so real.
Could not have done so much in one day with out Westley and Dad we will be owing them both big time at the end of this project.
Sure do love our Construction Manager 😏

Concrete day

Finally concrete pouring day! 5/7/2021

Did the rough plumping, it was such a blessing in our lives that we found a contractor that will let us do a lot of the work ourselves and pull the permits and help with passing the inspections we need. Saving us tons of money and such a miracle as that is not very common for contractors to be so helpful like that.

Got the footings prepped and the rebar all bent and laid in with Dad and Westley' help. Snapped this pick of the kids and Grandpa bending the rebar around the tree limb.

Asked Seth to come for the day to direct the pour. So kind and generous of him to spend 7 hours in the car to help us for 6! We are so grateful, our family is the best.

Also have the best friends too, our minister Jared and friend John came to move the concrete and be our crew for the day along with Dad, Westley, Britton and Seth.

Started pouring concrete at 10:30, me and the kids were at the school but Ryker and Grandma made sure to get lots of footage for us so we didn't miss the awesome concrete trucks in our back yard. and right when they were done it started raining at 2pm it was perfect timing.

Walking on the slab makes it all seem real, able to imagine what is going to look like and feel like to have all the extra space! So excited!

First day of School April 5th

The State finally decided it was time for the kids to get in the building with their teachers. We were so happy, it was a day we had been waiting for!

A full day wearing masks, lunch outside on the lawn and social distance of 3ft. They got to have all their specials in person for the first time in over a year. Did glass art, made plans for 5th grade band for this summer, crossing guard volunteer, kindergarten and sixth grade buddies and all their friends on the playgournd. Such a happy day!
Conway was a little stressed to be changing the schedule again, Wyatt was ready to meet his peers and figrue out this school culture thing, Elle was just so happy to see classmates she hadn't seen in a year

Love them with all my heart, so grateful fro the teachers and staff that lvoe and care for them too. They really do have the best elementary around
Hard to tell who is missing them more, Ryker and Pepper, they both just look at me all day, "like when are the fun  people coming back home" and the Best part is that the fun people are extra fun when they get home because they actually miss us too and we all get to really enjoy being together. 💗

Sure do love these amazing teenagers. I feel like time goes to fast when see how much they have grown up, so grateful they always let me braid their hair when I come, they are seriously so special to me

sure to love to get dirty in Ramah it never fails.

only picture I took of over 75 delved eggs for Easter Dinner, had a yummy ham and potato salad and Aunt Ashlee made a yummy peach cobbler. Left right after lunch to get home before dark and get ready for first day of full school day in person!

Phase 2 Foundation Prep

!This project has emphasized all the amazing people in my life. Talking to my Grandma Bingham about our addition my Uncle Justin heard we needed a tractor. He had recently purchased a little John Deer for the work he was doing on his new property and home in Pima, AZ. So my Grandma  and Uncle Justin borrowed my Uncle Craig's trailer (thanks Uncle Craig) and drove up to spend a week with us digging out and back filling our foundation for the addition. Thanks Mom and Dad for hosting them all the help as well. Westley came over on stump removal day and helped break loose the thicker roots.
Uncle Justin, John Deer, Snickers (Pepper's play mate for the week was Uncle's justin's dog Snickers, Pepper loved having a friend for the whole week!)

Pine tree stump, Step on Monday 3.15.21
Took all day but eventually got it all removed. Little did we know that was not the only large removal. White Rock is named for all of the "white rocks" in the layers of the ground. So many Rocks! have a whole new pile of giant boulders to add to our landscape.
Britton worked the morning's and was able to use the tractor in the afternoon's, a big kid with a big toy. He thinks he needs one now and could not wipe the smile off his face.

You guys as I am looking at these pictures I am getting teary. THIS WOMAN! I love that my 88 year old Grandma is holding a shovel ready to get to work on my house. She was the kid guardian and kept Ryker from getting run over by the tractor. Even though he was deeply offended when she told him that she was going to tie him to a tree, all was made right again when she share salt water taffy with him. She is amazing in everyway and I love her forever and ever.

I love the life lessons applied here about making a strong foundation, who knew how much work it is to excvate. backfill and compact 30 inches of dirt then dig a 18 trench all the way around. Took 4 days of solid work put now we are ready to get some rouch plumbing done and schedule the concrete when it stops freezing.
So blessed. #lambson2021addition
