Utah for Valentines

We got to go to Roy, for our holiday weekend in February!
Maressa, Nate and Liam were great hosts and showed us a great time in Utah!
We went to a yummy lunch at Maddox with our favorite pre-teens, Benjamin and Sarah. Then Liam showed us his children's museum that we loved!!!
We played on Saturday with Uncle Cooper who came to visit on his way to Provo for the weekend.  He is so good to us, and we love that he is having so much fun at school.
Yummy and steak and shrimp valentines dinner. Britton and i have a tradition of having seafod for Valentines, we celebrated our 10th valentine together! I can not believe all the things we have done in the last 10 years! He is still pretty awesome 10 years later. ;)
Sunday was an awesome Valentines, church and pizza dinner with family and friends
Nate and Britton made Maressa a plant shelf, and it was great to see all the progress on the basement. Maressa and I changed up Liam's room a little added some planes and automobiles to walls. Can not believe he is 2! Such a fun little guy.
We got some fun game playing and ice cream eating in after bed time. :) Nate owns a fun game that is off the market now so I always make him let me play when we see him.
Thanks Revos! we sure do love you.
Monday on the drive home we stopped and saw the new temple in Provo, after a 3 hour wait that was a little crazy we were glad we got to see it and show our kids how special the temple is, Elle and Conway thought it was really neat and were excited to know what the inside of the temples are like. Wyatt slept through the tour but that was ok. ;)

Parenting and Love

Sometimes I tease that if people had been more honest with me about how difficult and hard parenting was going to be I wouldn't have done it, "you blindsided me" I say.

But my love for my three little people is so strong, wonderful, and joyful that I will continue to promote blindsiding of parents to be. ;)

Parenting advice for all my family and friends in the trenches right now. There is no wrong way to parent when you love your child. You are not perfect and neither are they. There will be tears and messes then more tears and more messes. Great days where memories are made and kisses had. Bad days with yelling and fighting and not just between the kids. You just try to survive it all.  If you give your baby only organic, if you sleep train and let them cry it out or if you make other parenting choices that the otherside finds appalling. You are not wrong and those that don't or do are not wrong either. You are all just trying to show love for your children the best way you can. My 1 word advice: PRAY. Pray with and for your children and you are the best parent they got!

I love you all so much! Keep up the fight, keeping on loving you. :)

Flagstaff AZ

We loved spending our holiday weekend with Koriel and Katelyn and Louis (he was a crowd favorite, and is still mentioned in prayers since we have been home).
We got to go see lots of fun things in flagstaff and see their cute apartment. Can't wait for baby girls nursery and loved that Elle was very concerned that Aunt Katelyn would forget to call her when she had the baby so she kept telling her" use your phone and call me when Baby gets here.." :)

We loved their library and fun stores, Britton and Koriel had a blast at snowbowl snowboarding. Then took the kids sledding on Monday to a fun hill near their house.
Super excited to come back this summer! What a fun place to visit.

First Home

We just bought our first home!
5 different addresses
4 college degrees
3 kids
2 vehicle purchases
and
1 forever HOME
It has been a long time coming but we are so excited and ready to make it really ours forever. Britton is pretty settled in his work here in Los Alamos. And when the homeowners said they would sell to us we were so excited. We love the property and have really enjoyed the upgrades in it. Now that we have signed our lives away to be paying a mortgage for the next 30 years Britton is ready to rearrange the garage and anchor down all the saws he got for Christmas and I am going to paint the kitchen!

Wyatt update

6 months old! Half a year and we really cannot remember life without him.
As the nurse at his well checked discovered he is pretty sweet, he reminded her of his childhood teddy bear. He is squishy, happy and his big brown eyes are very handsome. He takes everything in stride from big brother and sister, and is probably their biggest fan as much as they are his.

He weighed in at 19.2 lbs and is 27 in. tall.

70 percentile on both tracks. Conway and Elle were in the 80% for height and 40-50% for weight. Wyatt is our solid little guy. ;)

He sits and plays, just traded out his swing  for the bouncy chair. He loves it. Wyatt eats pretty much everything in the baby food category, just not a huge fan of green beans everything else is great

We loved this big bowl at Great Grandma Christensen's house. 11/27/15

Thanksgiving

We got to go to Arizona for Thanksgiving. I am pretty sure we have never actually been home for thanksgiving. ;) It was a family reunion for the Christensens celebrating Grandpa Christensen turning 80! 80 years of a wonderful life of a wonderful man.Being in warm Arizona was the best.
We loved playing with cousins and we're so happy to see so many people we love doing great things with their lives.
Conway and Elle loved playing with my cousins kids and it was kind of tripping to see all of our little minis playing just like we use too.
