Pioneer weekend

Pioneer Weekend 2018! Aunt Maressa and Liam, and Uncle Koriel, Aunt Katelyn and Quincy came for the weekend as well as Corinne,Dierdre and Kelsi from Albquerque for the day. We slept out on Mimi and Grandpa's patio so we were packed to the brink with all our gear.

This year we took a break from being biking pioneers, the kids rode with cousins on the Primary float and Britton brought the go-carts for everyone to play on so Eli and Koriel rode them in the parade with Eli's boys.
We loved catching candy from the floats and eating it as fast as we could. Also love seeing all of our Ramah friends and family during this weekend,

We had to say good by to this sweet girl, Corinne as she is leavign to teach in Japan for a couple years. I am always so impressed with her everytime I talk to her. I know she will do great things in Japan and have a great time!

Roommates Forever

Bethany and Jules come to visit! July 16-18. As I said in my Instagram post. When Bethany walked into my life in 2004 it was the BEST, and having her come visit was the BEST. Britton was out of town for work so the rest of us showed Bethany and her daughter Jules all our favorite things here in the summer.

We went to the pool, the nature center, overlook, and got snow cones in the rain.

I love that our kids had a great time together, Elle loved having the girls finally out number the boys for a few days.

Just thinking about how much I love Bethany, makes me choke up. She is such an amazing woman. her faith and love have been an inspiration to me form day one. I am grateful for all she as taught me an shared with me over the years. We are coming to visit sometime soon!

8 is Great for Conway

Being 8 is pretty awesome, we celebrated pretty much for a whole month! On his Birthday he got to open presents, new ski's rocket building set, basketball, books, clothes. Then we left for Lake powell were he learned to ski and loved it. Got back from the lake, and had a week to get ready for all the family to visit Conway lost his 3rd tooth. July 4th was a Wednesday so we had the Lambson's come visit the frist part of the week, went to the pool and boating. Baptism, then baoting and pool with the Chrsitensen's. It was the best week ever!

Lambson side for the Baptism
Christensen side.

We had such a special day for the baptism. Conway had asked lots of the family to help with the program and he was just so happy to make those special covenants with his heavenly Father. Aunt Stasia and Grandma did the music, Stathan said the opening prayer. Uncle Cooper gave a talk about how special baptism is and how their is no better sound then the splash of the water. Conway's dad baptized him. We watched a slide show of Conway. then Uncle Koriel talked about the gift of the Holy Ghost and how it connects us to Heaven. His Confirmation, included all the wonderful priesthood in his life.
Conway got to have two days at the lake showing off all his skiing talent to each family

Played a lot of corn hole and ate out side every meal

Conway got the great blow up ship for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa Christensen and we loved sharing it with all the cousins

Seriously the best week!
we loved celebrate my Special Conway, he really is the greatest kid and we would not trade him for anything!

Cowboy and Indian Day

Moana and Maui, Hawaiian Day

Uncle Aaron made this noodle raft with Conway, took the 2 hours but it was pretty sweet

pirate day, found the lost tresaure!

America boot camp day, Sergrent Nymeyer led them through a rigous obstacle course, Uncle Cooper and Hannah made on top of the houseboat with Yarn, it was so fun!
 he graduated with flying colors.

the highlight of the week was this kid learngin to Ski! The joy an excitement he had in accomplishing this challenge was so priceless.

got some fishing in and a giant tube time trial obstacle for the "grown up" kids why do we inflect so much pain on ourselves

 sleeping brothers

Ryker's first lake trip was a memorable one with a midnight run to the ER! All our kids some bad germs we could not kick with the end of school, ear infections and colds. Conway even missed the 3rd to last day of school. But I wanted to go to lake powell so badly, why you might ask with 4 kids one of which is 5 months old. I know crazy but I love Lake Powell with all my heart and hate missing out on the beauty of it all. Ryker was the "least"sick of the kids as far as coughing and sleeping, eating etc. but he had a fever that kept popping up.  Even after finishing antibiotics for a ear infection 2 weeks before which gave him hives. 2 days before we were supposed to leave, took him to the dr to get him checked out, the Dr. felt he was the healthiest sick kid she had seen and did some blood work and an x ray to figure out what was making him run a fever. Early pneumonia! What we might have to cancel our lake Powell trip?!? After doing some heavy antibiotics  and a good nights rest the dr. felt he would be strong enough to fight it on his own and still go on vacation. We left a day later then planned but were still able to get to the lake, Ryker sleep alot and get lots of cuddles with loved ones on the boat. Then our second night there, Ryker woke up from a nap and could not catch his breath and his crying seemed very abnormal. After trying all the tricks we could think of to help him calm down i was starting to panic that there was somethign seriously wrogn that we was not breathing right, maybe the pneumonia? We gave him a priesthood blessing and drove the speedboat in the dark to the ER! Sterling and Chandler drove with Britton, my dad and I. The three boys took a position holding flood lights and standing in the bow of the boat to make sure we didn't hit anything on our way as my Dad drove. I held my baby close as he cried himself to sleep on the slow bumpy ride. When he fell asleep his breathing slowly returned to normal. We parked the boat and Chandler and Sterling stayed to keep watch of it all night tied to the dock with Walmart blankets to keep them warm. At the ER the nurses asked why we were there with a happy smiley baby, the dr on staff said his lungs sounded great and if we hadn't told him he was getting over pneumonia he would have never know. (slap forehead)  My Dad got us a hotel to share, we rested for the 6 hours until morning and make sure Ryker did not relapse. The next morning we made it back to the boat before breakfast and enjoyed our week with no other hiccups. Don't know what it was but greatful for the priestbood and family willing to make so many sacrifices with help take care of our family!
